the CAST

Ava MacKinnon is an actor based in Glasgow. She is currently training in Musical Theatre at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and also studied Gàidhlig at the University of Glasgow. At age 13 she wrote, directed, and starred in a Gàidhlig short film which received FILMG’s Best Mobile Short award. In 2018 she was awarded Bòrd na Gàidhlig’s Young Gaelic Ambassador of the Year and most recently she performed in RESTING PLACE, a site-specific piece in set the Glasgow’s Ramshorn Graveyard as part of the Merchant City Festival 2022.

 

Katie Hammond is 24 from North Lanarkshire and has been performing and participating in Gaelic drama since childhood. She has performed in the Edinburgh fringe and several student films as well as films for FilmG. She has worked on different projects including a Niteworks music video, and an Oban Live advert. She went on to achieve her HND in Acting and Theatre Performance at Glasgow Kelvin College after which she worked for Fèisean nan Gàidheal performing in Gaelic plays, Pantos and leading drama workshops for primary school children across the highlands and islands of Scotland. She also completed the Gaelic media course at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig.

 

Kit Rodman-Orr is a Scottish artist, with a particular interest in working with young people and in physical theatre. After graduating with a Masters in Theatre for Young Audiences, they returned to Scotland in 2017 where they have been working regularly with companies such as Platform, All Or Nothing and Cumbernauld Theatre.
